Crystal Bollinger, Dental Assistant
Hi! It’s great to meet you! I began my career as a dental assistant part time in 2008 with Dr. John Sauer while taking the dental assistant course at the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center. Since completing my education for dentistry I have worked in the Orthodontic Field as well as General Dentistry. Since working with Dr. Sauer’s practice, I have found a new passion of working with the public. I not only work chair side but also enjoy scheduling and educating patients with their dental benefits.
When not working in the office I recently took on another passion and became a Certified Consultant in Scentsy Sales. During my Spare time I enjoy being home with my Family, Brandon and our dogs Dierks and Cheyenne. I enjoy shopping, visiting wineries, fishing, watching television, and working in my flower beds. Thanks for reading a short summary about my life and I look forward to meeting and taking care of you in our Dental Office!

Hello everyone, I am Logan, Dr. Sauer’s full time dental hygienist. I began my dental career in 2009 as a part time dental assistant for Dr. John L. Sauer, while attending Southeast Missouri State University. Throughout the years I gained a greater interest in the dental field and decided to further my education. I graduated from Missouri Southern State University Dental Hygiene program in 2013. I have a passion for educating and helping patients achieve a healthier smile.
My husband, Garret and I recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary in June. In my spare time I love spending time with my husband, Garret and our dog Zoey. I enjoy shopping, fishing, showing cattle, checking our cows and calves, and spending time with friends and family. I hope you enjoyed learning a little about me and I look forward to meeting and educating you about your oral health.
Tricia Croxford, Office Manager
Hello, I am Tricia and I have been a part of Dr. Sauer’s team since May 2014. I am not a stranger to dentistry. I received my certification as a dental assistant in 1978 and had the opportunity to work in a dental office for 10 years in Illinois before my family moved to Sikeston, MO. I worked for a dental office in Sikeston for 26 years before the dentist retired. At that point I became a part of Dr. Sauer’s Staff. My job title is Receptionist/Office Manager. One of the most important aspects of my job is to welcome a patient into our dental office. Answering any questions they might have about dental benefits. Once benefits are determined the office will accept benefits directly from the insurance company. That helps our patient as they only have to be responsible for the deductible and the percentage that the insurance company doesn’t pay. That computes to less out of pocket money for our valued patients. Once a treatment plan has been chosen I also can submit a preauthorization claim to the insurance company. This will let the patient know the exact dollar amount they will need to pay before starting a dental treatment.
My husband, Dennis and I have three grown children and seven grandchildren. We spend most weekends traveling to visit and spoil them on our Spyder motorcycle!
Taylor Douglas, Dental Assistant
Hi! My name is Taylor. I have worked with Dr. Sauer’s office since September, 2013. I studied the dental assisting course at the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center. My position in the office is dental assisting and managing the ordering of office supplies. When starting full time with Dr. Sauer’s office I found the most interesting part about dentistry is being a chair side dental assistant. In this position I help explain to our patients what restorative procedure will need to be completed to see them smile again. There is no better feeling than seeing our patients walk out of office with a bright new smile.
I came from a small town in Southeast Missouri. 2 years ago my fiancé, Mitchell and I decided to move to Cape Girardeau to further our education. When not working, I enjoy being outdoors! Mainly fishing and camping. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, including our spoiled cat Molly!

Our wedding will be in the near future, so for now wedding planning and finishing our home updates keep us busy! I am a soon to be aunt to my first nephew. Chad and I have two English Bulldogs we love to spoil. In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors hunting, fishing, and playing Softball.
